From the Manchester area, we recommend BMI-Baby to Lourdes, Toulouse or
Bordeaux. (All three of these destinations will then involve car hire or a
train journey.)
For a quicker journey, Air France will get you to Pau with one change at Paris.
(Make sure BOTH your flights use the same Paris airport!)
If driving is not a problem for you, why not use Ryanair from London-Stansted direct to Pau?
Where there are two or more of you, it is quite cost-effective to "one-way" hire a car from Hertz in Manchester and drop it at Stansted.
