The Local Area There are superb beaches, (Life guarded in season June until September) and all are excellent for bodyboarding, skim boarding, surfing and kite surfing. A cycle track starts about 50m down the road, but there are many more starting a short drive or cycle away. The nearest lake is the Lac de Leon, which is about 10 minutes drive away. Here you can windsurf, canoe, swim or just relax. There is a fantastic 18-hole golf course in Moliets, within 30 minutes drive, and more within 45-60 minutes drive at Biscarosse, Seignosse, Hossegor and Mont de Marsan. There are also pretty villages and towns to visit all with their local wines, foods and crafts.

The Village of Linxe In the village of Linxe there are 2 Boulangeries for your daily baguettes and croissants, and a small Leclerc Express for all your general shopping items. There are 2 hotel/bars serving food in the village, and several other good restaurants at very reasonable prices a short drive away.
